How old are your children, and do you let them play violent video games? Do you know what games your kids play? Where do you draw the line? Do you care about what kind of video games they play?

We have the Wii…we play Wii fit only. I don’t believe anyone should play violent video games…and the less a person is sitting on her/his butt the better.

Violent? No. I do believe that it there is a link between the violence and the behavior, and there are countless stories of child murderers due to these games. One kid even shot both his parents because they took away his Halo 3!! My boys are 15, 15, 13 and 10. My older three play games with violence in them, they are war type games. My older two especially are into the military and so they like the war games. They also play Nazi zombies.
I think these games would be bad for a 7 yr old and I don’t even let my 10 yr old play them. I think allowing very young children to play violent games is a bad idea. My boys are well aware of what is reality and what is a game and they have also seen movies with violence in them. I don’t believe that an older child who already has been raised a certain way with good morals values and good behavior is going to suddenly turn violent from playing a video game or watching a movie with violence in them.
My boys are honor and high honor students in school and never get into trouble. They are all respectful well behaved boys. It’s just a game.I think if you have a child who is already violent or has tendencies then sure a video game can exasperate that but I do not believe believe a video game alone will turn an average child violent.
Yes they play some violent video games. I know what they play. I am the ones that buy them. My kids are 19,16 and 13.
