A child needs to decide on their own to try. We help motivate them by standing for right, not tolerating bad, disciplining them appropriately, being affectionate and letting them know that we are dedicated to them and will not give up on them and love them unconditionally. Loving others, doing right, and achieving good are infectious and will grow within them. Through time and experience these values become an integral part of who they are and then they will have integrity and character.
