Question by sozialleben: Whats the difference between Mario Party 8 and the gamecube Mario party 4/5?
I want to know the difference between mario party 8 for wii and the gamecube games. Because apparently the gamecube games can be played on the wii. Also if this is true, are there any problems with the difference in controls or any bugs that will lessen the game experience? thanks

Well interestingly, Mario Party 8 has its spark with simple controls, like other Mario Party games, because all you have to use is the wii remote alone! Despite the awkwardness of moving characters with D-pad, the games make it suitable for this sort of control! Also, it is very nice to be able to use the Wii Remote in a variety of ways, whether you hold it vertically for some games, or horizontally for games where you are required to move your character! It seems like a nice new idea for the series, and the games are quite entertaining too! To be honest, it is probably the most challenging Mario Party out there due to the new control scheme, but that’s what makes it fun!

Its weird but I still think Mario Party 8 is disopointing. Mario Party 8 is one thing and one thing only, another Mario Party that you use the Wii-Remote with. You just have some motion sensing games.
The game DOES Not have: Online play, downloadable content, use Miis in main game mode.
I am sure Mario Party 9 will be around next year, with online featrues.
